Patron Gran Burdeos Anejo Tequila is a luxurious and meticulously crafted spirit produced by the renowned Hacienda Patron distillery in Jalisco, Mexico, which Bacardi Limited owns. This exceptional tequila is made from the finest 100% Weber Blue Agave, carefully cultivated in the highlands of Jalisco. The agave plants are harvested at peak maturity to ensure the highest quality and flavor. The production process begins with the traditional method of slow roasting the agave in small brick ovens, then crushing the cooked agave using a two ton tahona wheel and a roller mill. This dual process extracts the rich agave juice, fermented and distilled twice to achieve a pure and smooth spirit with an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 40%.

What truly sets Gran Burdeos Anejo Tequila apart is its aging process. After the initial distillation, the tequila is aged in a combination of used American oak and new French oak barrels. This imparts a complex character with notes of vanilla and oak. It is then distilled again and finished in vintage Bordeaux wine barrels, adding a rich, velvety smoothness and hints of raisins and dark fruit to the final product. This meticulous aging process lasts at least 12 months, resulting in a dark amber tequila with a luxurious texture and a complex flavor profile.
